(Stillwater) Trout (B/R) Vlei Kurper,
a small population of Bow Striped Barb at the outlet and in amongst the weeds.
The evening rise on this water can be spectacular, make sure to have an assortment of dry flies. Caddis skated across the surface on a summer evening can make for a very satisfying conclusion to a good day’s fishing.
PLEASE NOTE! No swimming or any form of watercraft on Diepgelegen. No picnicking or fires. Do not use the landowner’s lapa.
You may use the jetty and the plank walkway through the swampy area at the back of the dam. If the rains come, you will need a 4 by 4 to get out of Diepgelegen. Please practice catch and release. Maximum of six (6) rods allowed, one of which must be a member.
