(Stillwater) Trout (B/R).
This is the jewel of the club’s stillwaters, home of wild rainbows that breed in the upper reaches of the Broederstroom river that feeds the dam. Brown trout have been stocked and co-exist with the wild rainbows.
The Rainbow Trout in this 28 hectare impoundment are a Scandinavian strain that were stocked in the streams decades ago. They are subtly patterned and display the most delicate colours. These wild fish seldom exceed 35 centimetres.
No boats or oars available at this water, please take your own. Electric trolling motors are allowed, no petrol motors. Maximum of six (6) rods, one of which must be a member.
