The Iron Crown Club & Hatchery

Ebenezer Dam plays an important part in the HTA’s history. The club is situated at what was once the old sailing club’s premises. There are five rondawels each sleeping four people, five open camping sites and a modern and clean ablution block plus a toilet block. There is no electricity but there is hot water provided by a donkey boiler.

Ebenezer Dam provides fantastic fishing for large Brown and Rainbow Trout during winter and a five kg monster Rainbow was landed a while back on a lure by a bass angler. In summer it is possible to catch Trout, Largemouth Black Bass, Smallmouth Black Bass, Red Breast Kurper, Blue Kurper, Barbel and Carp, all on fly.
