Magoebaskloof is home to the Haenertsburg Trout Association (HTA).
Fly fishing since 1906.
The Association has more than three hundred members of all ages. They benefit from a hatchery, chalets and camping sites and a large communal clubhouse on the banks of the often mist-shrouded Ebenezer Dam, only a few kilometres from Haenertsburg, a picturesque village that nestles in the northern foothills of the Drakensburg Mountains approximately sixty kilometres from Polokwane.
The Association has fishing rights to sections of the Broederstroom and the Helpmekaar streams that feed into the Ebenezer Dam as well as the Letaba River below the Ebenezer Dam wall. The Association also has access to numerous pristine still waters.
